Loire Valley Uncorked - a family's passion


 

The Loire Valley Uncorked adventure began in 2010 with Gérald, passionate ambassador of a wine estate near Saumur.

His unique expertise in wine management and production, his outspokenness and his tastings, both technical and educational, left an impression on the many participants in his visits.

 

Since 2014, two magnificent projects have attracted the full attention of Gérald and Sarah-Jane, his wife: a wine bar in Brighton, UK and a bistrot/bar à vins in Saumur.  Loire Valley Uncorked was placed on pause.

 

In 2016, thanks to the support of international investors, Gérald took charge of two prestigious châteaux in the Anjou and Saumur appellations. He produces 18 distinct vintages and 15,000 hectoliters of juice, nearly 2 million bottles.

Affirming his reputation in his field, Gérald won several awards for his low sulfate wines and became a reference in the famous Hachette Wine Guide!

 

Today, after a decade of passion and innovation, Loire Valley Uncorked returns to the forefront!  Whether you are a novice or an expert, join Gérald for tours and tastings that will ensure you have an unforgettable wine experience in the Loire Valley.

I am Gérald, owner-winemaker of Domaine Beaumont.

My immersion in the wine world dates back to my earliest childhood when I wandered my grandfather's vineyard in Brissac-Quincé. At the age of 4, it was with a wine press in one hand that I embarked on my wildest adventures! Life took me back and forth to England, then to Paris to finally, like a sign of destiny, return to my roots and keep the promise made to my Grandfather to continue the Beaumont winemaking tradition.

 

Today, the magic of this Domaine is the fruit of an unparalleled complicity with my wife Sarah-Jane, my Jane Birkin Saumuroise. Together, we build a sincere and personal experience of Angevin sweetness every day. For you.
